For There I Was at 30,000 Feet- memoir book designed, written, edited and published by Memory WorksFor There I Was at 30,000 Feet we chose an 8” by 10” format. This World War II memoir by Quentin Brown had a large amount of text and over100 photos and documents. We began each section of the book (see a sample of this page layout) with a photo, illustration, or map displayed in a thumbnail, followed by a dramatic quote taken from the section. Printed in black and white and color, the 414-page book was produced in hardcover and paperback.

text is 4 1/2” for easy reading. Digitally printed on 70 lb. off-white archival paper, this book is smooth to the touch and easy on the eyes.

 

The Caliendo-Vitale Cookbook- cook book designed, edited and published by Memory WorksFor The Caliendo-Vitale Cookbook, we chose a spiral, lay-flat binding. Created by Jeanne Caliendo, this family cookbook contains recipes from 50 family members and black and white photos of many of the participants. Each main section of this cookbook — Appetizers; Pasta, Rice, Palenta; Entrees; Vegetables; and Desserts — is accented with a different festive color.

 

Jeannette & Irving: Our Story- photo memoir book designed, written, edited and published by Memory Works

A photo memoir, Jeannette & Irving: Our Story, was Felice Larmer’s present to her mother on her 95th birthday. The 134-page book was produced in a 6” by 9” format and contains over 80 restored family photos and documents. Since most of the photos are outstanding in quality and subject matter, many are displayed full-page. Printed in black and white on 70 lb., off-white archival paper, the book was produced in hardcover and paperback.

 

The Trek, a genealogy book about the origins of the Isaac Kramer and Onne Peterson families,The Trek- genealogy book designed, and published by Memory Works represents over 10 years of diligent research by author/researcher Eldon Kramer. Because there was a large amount of text, photos, and research documents included in The Trek, it was produced in an 8” by 10” format. Each main chapter page of the 468-page book (view a sample of this page layout) includes a small windmill symbol indicative of the family’s origins in Holland.
